This year we celebrated the 45th anniversary of the Midsummer Event which was open to both members and non members.
Twenty seven people took part in a bowls drive of four blocks of five ends, with the teams changing each block.
The event was won by Peter Fisher who was the only person to be on a winning side for all four blocks (8pts) and had an impressive shot difference of +33. The runner up was Helen Butler (6pts) and a shot difference of +14.
Afterwards 37 members and friends sat down to a two course meal; meat pies and vegetables were made and served by a team of ladies from the club, this was followed by a range of desserts kindly supplied by other members.
Our sincere thanks went to all whose hard work made this a very successful and enjoyable day.
