Nearly 50 members, friends & family enjoyed an afternoon of Fun Bowls; participants were divided into 9 teams, for a fun afternoon consisting of 11 different challenges laid out on the green. Two complete rounds were played and scores varied between 2300 & 3050 points. The competition winners were made up of primarily U3A members, who meet at the club every Wednesday morning.
Afterwards a bbq cooked by Greenkeeper Steve was enjoyed by all.
A putting competition, and ‘bowling for the pig’, concluded the day of fun, which saw members John Bee & Peter Betts winning respectively, each taking home a prize of a joint of pork. The usual tombola took place throughout the day which was well supported.
