A members only bowls drive to mark the end of the 2021-22 season saw 22 players compete; after a tight finish, there were two players, John Bee & Di White who won all their games, John was declared the winner for having a better shots difference. A fish & chip supper followed, kindly organised by John White, which was much enjoyed by the players and their partners, together with long standing friends of the club.

Floodlit League – 6th, 8th & 10th September 2021
Teams of 9 players took part over three evenings; towards the end of each match, despite the floodlights it was very difficult to see as it was so dark !. Final result was 1st Burlingham, 2nd Gt Plumstead & 3rd Spixworth .
U3A Challenge Match – 1st September 2021
After a enjoyable match between Spixworth club members and players from U3A, Spixworth emerged as the winners, and everyone appreciated the good spread provided by U3A afterwards.
Cheese & Wine – 23rd July 2021
The cheese & wine evening was the first social event since Covid, and it was very pleasing to see that it was well attended, and successfully raised some money for club funds. The bowls drive was won by Peter Betts.
Mid-Summer event 21st August 2021
Once again Ann, kindly assisted by Jim, committee and club members provided a delicious meal, followed by donated desserts for 41 members, friends & partners. Not only was it good to see the clubhouse full of people enjoying themselves, but it also raised funds for the club. The bowls drive before the meal, saw long standing member Mary Marshall win, with Jack Steward as runner up.
Roy Allen Pairs Competition 11th,18th & 25th August 2021
The competition commenced on 11th August with 8 pairs taking part. The competition played on a round robin basis was won by John & Di White, with Duncan & Iain McEwan taking the runners’ up spot.
Tom Turner Trophy Sunday 27th June 2021
It was lovely to see some normality return with the first internal club competition taking place this year on a beautiful sunny afternoon. The event was well supported, with 21 players playing up to 5 games of 5 ends each. After a hard-fought contest, the overall winners were the husband and wife team of John & Di White, accompanied by John Nuttall.
