The first Fun Bowls of the new season took place with a record number of members & friends, bowlers & non bowlers taking part in a variety of bowls related challenges. After 2 rounds, the winners were declared as Ray & Sue Flower, Phil & Claire Parmiter & Trevor Stannard, as the majority of teams had an extra player, this was taken into account when working out the final points.
After the challenges had finished, the clubhouse was packed to capacity for everyone to enjoy a ‘chip shop’ tea.
It was a great team effort from members of the club to set the event up and to clear up afterwards, both inside and outside, but a BIG ‘thank you’ has to go to John White, supported by Di, for coordinating the whole day & ordering & collecting everyone’s tea, without whom it would not have happened !!
